PERFECT CHOCOLATE COOKIES

- Oh my, what delicious little things -

Miss Malvina Enjoy Life Recipe: Best Chocolate Cookies

I am the kind of person who gets a sub menu and is most exited for the Chocolate Chip Cookie that comes with it. To my defense, it's not just any kind of dry and crunchy cookie you get in a pack of 20. It's THE cookie: the softest, most delicious thing you've ever tasted. If you're not into cookies at all (ahm, how can you not?!) than this may not be the recipe for you, but still, if you're invited to a party and you're supposed to bring some little snack: these are the fastest and easiest cookies I've ever made. And on the plus side, you'll be the star of the party as they are that good!

These cookies are just the bomb! I found the recipe on Tanya Burrs Blog and immediately had to try it out. They are soft and gooey, have huge chocolate chunks and are rather big. Because, let's keep it real: we are going to get more than just one, so why not make them bigger in the first place.

So, this is what you'll need...

Ingredients:

  • 200g butter (room temperature)
  • 300g caster sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 275g self-raising flour
  • 75g cocoa powder
  • a little dash of milk
  • 2 chocolate bars (I love to have a mix of milk and white chocolate, but it's really up to you)
  • some chopped walnuts to top it off if you like

Preparation:

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 200°C/390°F (or if yours is like mine then maybe a little less)
  2. Mix all the ingredients together well (but the chocolate) until you get a smooth texture
  3. Break up the chocolate bars into rather big pieces and mix them into the cookie dough
  4. Take similar amounts of dough and form balls which you'll flatten out
► Make them rather think, as you want your cookies to stay gooey
  5. Up, up... in the oven they go. For about 11 minutes
► Be confident and take them out. They will look undone; but this is exactly what we want here.
  6. Now let them cool for about 20 minutes. You'll see, the outside will have a nice crust while the inside is still soft.
  7. Enjoy your delicious chocolate cookies!

I really hope you enjoyed this recipe and try it out yourself. If you do, let me know what you think of it. I'm always looking for great recipes for my sweet tooth. Do you have any great recipe for me to try out? Be sure to post them down below.
